A Direct Booking Website for Your Vacation Rental

In short

For hosts of a cabin, a guesthouse, a B&B, a handful of units or a single rental who also list on Airbnb or Vrbo. You get a booking website of your own with live availability, secure deposits and payments, and automatic guest emails, so returning and referred guests can book you directly. It works alongside your listings: calendars stay in sync with Airbnb so you never double-book, and you manage rates and blocked dates from one dashboard.

You put real care into your place, and it shows in the reviews. But the messages never stop, and the guests who loved their stay — or who found you on social media — have nowhere to book except through a platform. Airbnb and Vrbo are great at bringing new guests in. A site of your own gives returning and referred guests a direct way to reserve, and it works alongside your listings, not instead of them.

What a direct booking site does for a host

  • Live availability that guests can trust at a glance
  • Secure deposit and balance payments collected online
  • Confirmation and reminder emails sent without you lifting a finger
  • Your own photos, story, and house rules, written in your own voice
  • One dashboard for nightly rates and blocked dates

Keeping every calendar in sync

Your site reads your Airbnb calendar automatically, about once an hour, and blocks any dates already taken there. Nights booked directly on your site show up as unavailable on Airbnb the same way, so a night booked on one side is closed on the other.

To be straight with you: this is syncing on a schedule, not an instant connection. In the rare case two guests grab the same night within that short window, you’ll see both bookings and can cancel and refund one before anyone packs a bag.

A showcase build for a real farmstead

Cair Paravel Farmstead hosts guests across several stays. In this demo / showcase build, every unit is booked, priced, and managed together on one site.

What I built

  • Four separate stays run from a single calendar
  • Pricing set individually for each unit
  • Airbnb calendar sync every hour
  • Automatic guest emails for bookings and reminders

See the demo site → Demo only: no real bookings or payments are taken.

Who this is for

Hosts who already have an Airbnb or Vrbo listing and own or manage:

  • A cabin
  • A B&B
  • A guesthouse
  • A handful of units
  • A single rental

Where direct bookings come from

A direct booking site won't replace the platforms for finding new guests, and it's not meant to. It gives the guests you already reach a way to book you directly:

  • Past guests who want to return, through a card or guidebook link in the rental
  • Guests who search your rental's name on Google
  • Followers on Instagram or Facebook
  • Friends and family your past guests recommend you to

Over time, more of your repeat business books on your own site, with no platform fee and with the guest's email kept on your side.

What it costs to run

  • No commission or per-booking fee from me
  • Each card payment carries Stripe's standard processing fee
  • Payouts go to your own bank account on Stripe's schedule
  • Ongoing costs, like your domain and any monthly support, are listed in your quote before work starts

What to have ready before we start

  • Photos of each unit (I can work with what's on your listing)
  • Your nightly rates, cleaning fee, minimum stay, and any seasonal prices
  • Your house rules and cancellation policy
  • Your Airbnb or Vrbo calendar link (I'll show you where to find it)
  • Your local lodging tax rates, if you collect them
  • A Stripe account, or I'll walk you through opening one

Missing some of it is fine. We fill the gaps together during the project.

How quotes work and what changes the price is on the pricing page.
